Why We Chose to Call SouthField ‘Home’

February 15, 2012

The Lamotts“We sold our house and moved back to the Boston area to look for a place to live.  This timing coincided nicely with the emergence of housing opportunities at SouthField.  New construction meant that we could have the features we wanted in a single family home, right from the start.

It was important to us that the money we spent to build a new home would help local workers get new jobs in the residential construction market.  We especially loved the hundreds of acres of protected land at SouthField, including forests, grasslands and wetlands, plus the picturesque infrastructure of roads, bike paths, and trails.  We also liked the idea of homes clustered together within a traditional neighborhood design, while preserving its natural beauty.

An easy walk to the on-site commuter train meant that we would have ready access to Boston and Cambridge for consulting and job opportunities. We liked the plan for pedestrian-friendly streets that will connect all the neighborhoods to the MBTA station, recreational parks and fields, and all the amenities here.

In short, we wanted to live in an active community, and the builders have turned our home dreams into a reality.  We look forward to welcoming others to join us in establishing a vibrant community here at SouthField.”    Steve & Molly LeMott
